Profile:

Dr Aliki Vasiliadou is part of the special academic staff of the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus. She is working on The Golden Thread: Building Family Bonds and Parenting Skills as a Means to Reduce Recidivism in European Prisons (2022 – 2024) ERASMUS+ KA220-ADU – Strategic Partnerships for adult education programme. She also coordinates academic dissertations. She is a registered Counselling Psychologist both in Cyprus and the UK and holds a doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Manchester (2021). She further holds a MSc in Counselling Studies from the University of Edinburgh (2016) and a BA in Psychology from the University of Cyprus (2015). She worked for the North West NHS Eating Disorders Service from 2020 to 2023. She currently works in schools as part of DRASE+ programme for social inclusion. She is an active member of the Cyprus Psychologists’ Association. Her research interests include social justice and inclusion, difference and diversity, psychological trauma, and the therapeutic relationship.
